Parts Work

Parts Work refers to allowing space for all the parts of ourselves - even ones we don’t always like - to help us be the best we can be, heal past hurts, restore relationships, and build genuine happiness.

Types of Therapy

While Parts Work Therapy refers to a more global way of understanding ourselves, there are many “types” of therapy that can fall under this umbrella term.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is the most recognized form of parts work, but it can also be called ego-state therapy, and has its roots in many spiritual and psychological practices.

In addition to IFS, I use other evidence based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and somatic approaches with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Family Systems Therapy is also used for the external, or real world, family in family therapy.
